Why does it make sense to combine corrugated cardboard, avant-garde and a dystopian story in a single video game?
In her lecture, art director Eva Marková will talk about Phonopolis, a game made using corrugated cardboard, influenced by avant-garde and set in a totalitarian town controlled by the Leader’s commands. The game is being developed by Amanita Design as its first 3D game. Marková will tell us why cardboard is an excellent material for making anything, how to originally approach independent game development and why it’s so important for Phonopolis. She will also focus on the artistic development, animation, technology and the entire concept of this somewhat different game. Last but not least, she’ll mention what has affected the long development of this game.
