Synopsis

Veronika Paleeva was born in 1995 to Ukrainian musician parents in Germany and was soon hailed as a child prodigy. She received her first violin at the age of two and, by the time she was five, started playing on large stages. As a teenager, Vero became depressed and took distance from the highly competitive world of classical music. After the passing of her father, Vero took control of her own career. She traveled through Europe as a busker and worked as a waitress to support herself, while completing her studies at a performing arts school and playing first violin in the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie (Young German Philharmonic). Vero then joined the prestigious Internationale Ensemble Modern Akademie that focuses on playing the works of modern composers. The film sees her break out as an independent artist capturing the world premiere of Veronika performing an original piece of music she composed together with an electronic music producer.
