Sofiane, son of a former Algerian embassy clerk, has travelled a lot. Now a student in Lyon, his visa has been revoked and he lives under the threat of expulsion. Hoping to regularize his situation, he agrees to work for a Muslim funeral home. Amidst parties, encounters and his job, Sofiane will start an initiatory journey that will lead him to find himself, shape his own identity and gradually move towards adulthood.

About the director(s):
Karim Bensalah:
Karim Bensalah was born in Algiers, studied literature in Paris while working in theater and then entered the London Film School to study directing.
Back in Paris, he directed several short films, among them: "Le secret de Fatima" awarded at numerous festivals, "Racine(s)", a segment of "Paris la Métisse", "Les heures blanches" is his first collaboration with Sébastien Baril.
He joined the Collectif Tribudom, with whom he made several films with teenagers from the working-class districts of Paris.
One of his upcoming project has been selected at Sundance Screenwriter's and Director's Lab.
