Synopsis

Pietro is a respected teacher at a high school in Rome, and Teresa is his brilliant and precocious former student. Their affair is both inappropriate and passionate. After an argument, Teresa suggests they each reveal a secret so shameful or shocking that it could destroy the other's life if it ever became public. Can the threat of a secret make someone live an honest life? Based on the novel by Domenico Starnone, Confidenza is a thriller of the soul, showing how love and fear can affect our lives forever.
