The Proletik Sonnenberg fan club of Chemnitz's Athletic Sonnenberg football club supports its team. But singing and chanting are only one side of the coin when it comes to who you support. Athletic Sonnenberg is committed to show diversity on the pitch and to make sure everybody feels welcomed. And doing so in a city with loads of far-right fan bases makes the game even more intense. It raises many questions, like if being a fan is connected to cheering for the values of a club. In Chemnitz, it seems like you cannot be a fan of just any club. It seems to have a political dimension that you participate in while watching the game. Since football fandom can have this dimension Proletik Sonnenberg actively communicates their vision. Our film portrays Lea, Toni, Lourdes and Noa, who talk about their motivation and what it's like to do this work in Chemnitz.
