Javier is a Mexican businessman who has lived in New York for two decades with his wife and children. He has a thriving business importing crafts from Mexico to the United States. One day he receives what he considers a call of faith, to go on a journey by bicycle and by road, from Quintana Roo to the Basilica of Guadalupe, accompanying a group of indigenous pilgrims, whom he previously met on a trip to the Mayan Riviera. His patience and faith are put to the test on this journey through a Mexico full of traditions and syncretisms.
