Synopsis
9 year-old Sarah is quietly discovering love when an assault derails her sexual awakening. Summer 2000 is an intimate and delicate tale in which the play between different mediums offers an insight into gender performativity and consent.

Director's bio:
Virginie Nolin is a film director and producer from Montreal; Laurence Olivier is a filmmaker and author living in Kelowna. Their movies reflect on feminist and queer issues, and on formal experimentation. Summer 2000 is their second cowritten screenplay, and their first collaboration as directors.
