Five former members of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN), who participated in the indigenous uprising of 1 January 1994, break their silence and for the first time without balaclavas narrate their motivations, experiences and wounds of that war.
"After the Guns" explores the risks and sacrifices they faced, seeking to change a reality marked by misery, oppression and oblivion. Benito, Elisa, Mario, Felicia and Luis Miguel delve into the motivations of the EZLN while reflecting on the transformations left by the armed struggle and the legacy that this learning leaves for future generations.
