Synopsis

Dolores is a 7-year-old girl who just wants to play, runs away from a fire demon and accidentally falls into a grave. There she meets two sinister corn husk skulls who want Dolores to stay with them and a curious armadillo who tries to get her out at all costs.

Director's bio:
She was born in Guadalajara, Mexico (1990). She holds a degree in Visual Arts from the University of Guadalajara. Her Graduation thesis was on stop motion short films made in Guadalajara. She worked as head of the painting and texture department in the animation feature film Inzomnia (no release date yet) by Luis Téllez, and in the props department of the feature film Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro (to be released in 2022). As well she has worked in the stop motion animation short films Canción de noche (no release date yet) by Karla Castañeda, La casa de la memoria (2020) by Sofía Rosales, See you soon (no release date yet) by Jeniffer Skarbnik and the music video Lo muerto for the rock band Cuca. Currently she is directing her first animation short film: Dolores.
