Among the Jalisco mountains at the beginning of the 20th century, Emilia's desire to explore leads her to flee from her adoptive family in search of her biological father. Dressing as a young male muleteer, she crosses the mountains on horseback to reach the sea. This journey introduces her to a different world that will empower her to take control of her own destiny.
Director's bio:
Isabel Cristina Fregoso is a distinguished filmmaker, graduated in Communications from ITESO and the Escuela Nacional de Artes Cinematográficas at UNAM. She is a member of AMACC (Mexican Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences) and SNCA (National System of Art Creators). In 2005, she founded the Jalisciense Academy of Cinematography. As a director and writer, she has participated in prestigious programs such as Cine Qua Non Lab, Fundación Toscano, and the Sundance Film Institute.
