Synopsis

Filmed as a movie within another, EXORCISM stars Academy Award winner Russell Crowe as Anthony Miller, a troubled actor attempting to revive his career when he lands the lead role of a priest in a supernatural horror film centered around an exorcism. As unsettling events unfold, his stroke of luck takes a dark turn. The director (Adam Goldberg), in search of authenticity, subjects the troubled actor to humiliating treatment, forcing him to confront past traumas and unknowingly accelerating his decline. Witnessing his suffering, Anthony's estranged daughter Lee (Ryan Simpkins) turns to the film's religious advisor (David Hyde Pierce) for help. Has the pressures of filming caused Anthony to relapse into old addictions, or has it opened a portal to something more sinister?
