In the 60s, the troubadour Cornelis Vreeswijk topped the Swedish charts. At the same time as his success, he struggled throughout his life with drug problems and a chaotic private life that often made headlines in the newspapers. Despite the fact that he never received Swedish citizenship, he is today considered one of Swedish music's biggest icons.
With the help of newly discovered archive material, «Somliga går med trasiga skor» draws a portrait of an artist who always wanted to give a voice to society's weak and broken.

Magnus Gertten is a Swedish director, producer and screenwriter. He has been active in the film industry for over 25 years, and among other things he has made the documentary films «Tusen bitar» (2014) about the musician Björn Afzelius and «The Young Zlatan» (2015). His previous film, «Nelly & Nadine» (2022) was nominated for the Guldbaggen.
