Musician Hjörtur, black and white grotesque, techno, rap and legendary comedian Buster Keaton. Probably the most unique screening of our programme this year. Almost 100 years old, Frigo on the Machine will be accompanied by musician Hjörtur. Come and see how the combination of modern music and one of the classic silent films will work.
Frigo on the Machine / The General
Johnnie is an engine driver who has only two loves in the world — his locomotive and a beautiful girl named Annabelle Lee. As the American Civil War rages on, the young man volunteers to join the Confederate army — but the army refuses him because he is too important as a railroad engineer. Annabelle Lee turns him down because he is not in uniform. Johnnie is devastated, but then Union soldiers steal his beloved engine and kidnap Annabelle, and he must save them both.
