Filmmaker Biography:
Samuel Wasserman is a multi-disciplinary experimental artist and animator creating surreal works that analyze and attempt to exaggerate the subtleties and nuances of day-to-day life. These works are often inspired by his own lived experiences and come in various forms from traditional static painting and imagery to hybrid digital/analog animated works, but almost exclusively occupy a place in physical space.
Sam was born in Toronto, Ontario and spent his childhood and adolescence growing up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Currently, he lives and practices in Toronto and is pursuing a BFA in Experimental Animation at OCAD University.
