Filmmaker Biography:



Sam Gurry is an interdisciplinary artist living in Los Angeles working primarily in the moving image. Their films untether the restrictions between documentary, animation, and imagined realities. Sam’s work has been in the official selection at the TIFF, SXSW, Slamdance, IFFR, and Ottawa Animation Festival amongst others. Sam holds an MFA in Experimental Animation from the California Institute of the Arts. They are currently adjunct faculty at California State University, Los Angeles, USC, and NYU.
