Synopsis

Homage to scientist Simon Stampfer, all animated sequences are based on his Optical Magic Discs, presented in Vienna in 1833. Three dreams depict young Simon's visions of future developments in technology and art from 19th century to the present day.

Filmmaker Biography:




Born 1960 in Linz, Upper Austria
1979-83 studied psychology and educational theory
1989-94 studied painting and animation film at the Academy of Applied Arts / Vienna.

Since his early youth works as self-thought filmmaker and in the areas of music, painting, installation and performance. Numerous experimental, animated and documentary films and some commercials.

Also works as Producer, Teacher, Film Historian, Festival Organiser and Curator for Animated Films
