The Culture Center

Synopsis

Bosnia and Herzegovina / Goran, an actor, is preparing a monodrama financed by the city with the help of his director. During the rehearsals, Goran, dressed as a Croat soldier, accidentally meets Ostoja, a janitor and war camp survivor. Goran’s costume awakens Ostojas PTSD and memories of the torture he survived. Ostoja no longer sees the culture center he is in but the camp where he was tortured 30 years ago. Goran is forced to relive Ostoja’s trauma and memories of the camp together with him, which result in a heavy confession.
