– How do you think the world will look at me the day I come home?, sings Håkon Banken in a musical letter in the 1970s. He is 28 years old and admitted to a psychiatric institution.

Against all odds and after his records are branded as social pornography in the national press, he nevertheless becomes one of the country's most popular artists. In this documentary, the story of Håkon Banken is told through meetings with people whose hearts he touched.

About the director:
Sven Arild Storberget has worked with film and TV since 2010. He has previously directed «Sayonara, Elverum» (2013) and «Et eventyr i svart og hvitt» (2017). He has also produced both film and audio content for NRK, as well as being a producer on the documentary films «The Elk Forest» (2021) and «Backstreet Girls – en farligere variant» (2021).

Martin A. Walther is a director, originally from Trondheim, living in Oslo. His first feature-length documentary «Train Robbers»  (2019) was included in the international competition program for Clermont Ferrand in 2020. He has also made the films «The Psychlist» (2020) and «Skyggen har også farge» (2020).
