The Chinese regime has long persecuted the Turkish-speaking population of East Turkistan - the Uighurs. In the last decade, they have been interned en masse in concentration camps and subjected to forced labour.

The regime wants them to renounce their identity and should instead take on the national identity based on the Han Chinese. Mother tongue education was removed from the education system, and they are also deprived of the right to practice their own religion. Almost every aspect of their lives has been restricted. Uyghur women have been subjected to genocidal policies – forced contraception, forced sterilization and forced abortions.

After the Holocaust, the international community cried: "Never again." Nevertheless, despite the international criticism, the Chinese regime continues with the transformation of the Uyghurs.

The atrocities have become known to the world in the form of witness statements, reports and statistics. However, the Uyghur Transitional Justice Database (UTJD) has been working on 3D modeling of the detention camps based on testimonies, satellite image analysis and leaked government documents. They have tried to depict the atrocities of the Chinese regime through virtual experiences.

Let them bring humanity back!
